Last weekend we had SUNSHINE!!! It was so wonderful to be out in the sun and enjoy the slightly warmer weather. I can't wait until late spring/summer. Although I am grateful for the rain b/c it is the reason that our area is so lush and green and beautiful, after the significantly grey winter I am ready to soak up some Vitamin D! We went for the first picnic of the season at a n beautiful park with pathways along the shoreline. It was an rock quarry in the 1800's but now is a wonderful open grass, walking paths, golf course park area.
Baby girl wanted to get in on the action too and completely entertained herself nibbling on the chip bag. I know I shouldn't let her do so, but after a few times of trying to entertain her with the toys I brought I gave up. Yep, I am already the second kid lazy mom.
J and V loved running around and my mom who joined us there took this fun series of pics of them climbing over and jumping off these pillars.

I wish you could see this picture bigger b/c this is V. In all his happy, energetic, excitement, fun, big smile, cuteness. This epitomizes my wonderful boy.
It was a wonderful afternoon in the sun. Unfortunately we only had a few days of sun and now it's back to rain. I keep reminding myself that means lush greenery and beautiful flowers but right now I would just appreciate a dry afternoon at the park.
