IT CAME AND WENT

Summer seems to have flown by. I am not sure where all the time went, this could be because given any chance I will take a nap which admittedly helps the time past haha. But here are some pics of what were were up to this summer. And if I can remember how to get pics off my phone I will add those too b/c I have a couple super cute ones I would love to share.

V has been practicing his golf skills on the cooler days of summer. Luckily our hall is quite long.
One day he just thought it was hilarious to make a hat out of his happy meal box and asked me to take a picture, so here is some insight into what makes my kid laugh.

After a bike ride, hands down running through the sprinkler has been V's favorite summertime activity. He runs laps around the backyard laughing the whole time.

The pool has been a big favorite as well. And despite J's comment that we need a bigger one for next year, I really think this one is the perfect fit. He looks pretty comfy to me, hahaha.

Of course backyard summertime fun isn't complete without sleeping in the tent. V did really really good and is often asking to do it again. He went camping for an entire week on the Oregon coast with my parents and can't wait for all of us to go next summer. He already has it planned that me and the baby can sleep in the camper with Grandma and he, Daddy and Grandpa can sleep in the tent. I think J has already started counting down the days (I say years) until he can take him backpacking for the first time.

Animals have been a constant in our lives this summer. The zoo has become one of V's favorite destinations and thanks to a family pass we have gone often. But one day at the Children's Museum we got to get up close with a few animals. At first V was a bit hesitant, but my friend Dorothy's kids jumped a the chance to touch the chameleon.
However, V warmed up quickly and had no qualms about touching some of the other animals like this bearded lizard.

Obviously some of the summer was spent getting ready for baby sister. V was excited to turn the box her glider came in into a spaceship. The first time he got in it he couldn't understand while it wouldn't really take him to the stars, it was cute how dissappointed he was. It's been hanging around the house for a month now because he just can't part with it, slowly pieces are coming off though so eventually our astronaut will have to ground his spaceship for good.

Baby girl has been spoiled this summer as well, and she hasn't even made her appearence yet, though she consistently makes her presence known by doing gymnastics in my belly! Between the generous hand me downs we have gotten and the gifts at the party this girl is going to be one stylin' baby, aided by these fabulous hair clips/bows that Dorothy made. (She even made the display board too! Woman has talent.)

I know that didn't seem like much, but we have actually been super busy this summer. Unfortunately since most the time I am just making it to my next sleep, I haven't been real great at taking pictures. But as proof that we have been busy here is a pic of my two boys snoozing on the couch after a busy day...

Can't help but love them. Especially when they are quietly sleeping hahaha!
