3 YEARS! HOW DID THAT HAPPEN?!?!

I don't know how it happened so quickly but my baby isn't a baby anymore, he is 3!!! And don't try to call him baby either, he will correct you that he is "not a baby, I a big boy!" He got a sand/water table from his great grandparents to start the celebration.A while a go I asked V what he wanted to do for his birthday, well little did I know he would have such a definite idea and opinion on just about everything. So we did just as he asked. He wasn't concerned with a party but wanted to ride a train. Actually to be honest he wanted to go on a "airplane, monster truck, boat, helicopter, train ride." Thankfully he agreed that just the train would be enough, haha. He also specifically requested that grandma, grandpa, and his cousins Michael and Brennan come too. They were all happy to oblige, as well as my sister and brother-in-law too.

V and Michael were so excited, it was Michael's first time on a train! The train was a really cute old one. It left from a cute, cute town up in the mountains and went past some rivers and also one the most famous waterfalls in WA.

It has one other stop, so we hopped off and got some pizza for lunch. Thanks to yelp.com which you should try if you haven't, we had some of the best pizza any of us have ever had. Even V who usually is picky ate a piece and a half without any bit of arguement. The little place didn't have any seating though so we ate across the street at a little park area.

The little boys had some fun waiting for the train to come back to get us.

Back on the train to finish the ride. He was so happy. He just sat and looked out the window the whole time.

As I said he was specific about what he wanted for his birthday. So of course that included what he wanted his cake to be, "a green circle with lilin qeen, doc, sawee and mater." He was so excited to play with the cars we had to remind him to wait to blow out the candles first!
And if all that wasn't enough to wear him out, the birthday boy finished the day playing with his new t-ball set in the backyard. He thinks it's hilarious to chase Daddy when it's his turn and try and get him out.
I can't believe my little baby is 3. It seems like yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital. And now he is going to be a big brother! Life sure goes fast.

That sand and water table looks SO fun! I can't believe how old he is now! The cake looks awesome.

I told Gavin that that is how people sang way back when that song was recorded! (: Lots of vibrato.
