O HOLY NIGHT

Today in sacrament I got to listen to some beautiful hymns and Christmas music just as I wanted. A girl in the ward stood and sang "O Holy Night, " in my opinion one of the most beautiful songs ever written. And she did she ever, she is amazing. It is wonderful to hear someone sing who can truly do justice to a song and as she won state a year or two ago she obviously has the talent. But the best part was V's reaction. He is such a bundle of energy now, he never sits if he is awake, not even while eating. But the moment Jennifer opened her mouth he sat revited. Occasionally he would break form and wave his arms and squeal or giggle but most often he sat in open-mouthed awe. And as I said before she was awesome, she is like a female Josh Grobin, if she put out a CD I would buy it. V would sneak quick looks at me as if to say, "mom are you hearing this?" The boy has an ear for music that's for sure, and he probably didn't know singing could sound like that in real life as he is subjected to me and my mom's singing most the day and we are admittedly not good, haha! It's good to know that we are raising a fellow music lover, and hopefully he will get some of his father's talent because he's out of luck on my side. But even if he doesn't, it is nice to know that we can sit and listen to beautiful music and enjoy it together. Still I wish I could have snapped a pic in sacrament, his mouth agape with awe and excitment was so adorable.
