WHERE WERE WE.......

Whoa, I can't believe that summer has past. As is tradition part of my long absence from the blogging world can be attributed to an addition in our life, but more on that later. I don't want to bore you with too many details so let's just say we were incredibily busy this summer but we also has lots of fun whether it was taking family walks along the sound,

helping weed the flower beds (to be honest I didn't rate this as fun but I was out numbered by the boys),

visited by my great-aunt Annie,

and bf Noelle who was with us when we discovered a fun and yummy place to decorate your own cupcake, I know that sounds cheesy as you can make cupcakes yourself at home but honestly how often do you do that. This place had multiple flavors of cupcakes, frosting and more sprinkles than I even knew existed to choose from!

V had a blast on the slip and slide, once he figured out how it worked he dove right in.

He also master kite flying, which is one if his favorite things to do with Grandpa.
Of course there were bike rides.

And one of my favorite summer pasttimes, baseball games! We went to a few minor league games this year, of which V still talks about and ask to go again, that's my boy.

We took a road trip out to Utah for a reunion with J's family. V did much better than expected on the long drive, although we did stop for some playtime during the journey.

We stayed up in Park City. And played at the foot of the slopes.
V enjoyed his first solo ride, an airplane of course, he couldn't have had a bigger smile on his face.

We went down the Alpine slide and the alpine rollercoaster. Both are fun but if you haven't ever done the rollercoaster I highly recommend it, very cool.

We hung out at the Beane museum on BYU campus with Kori and her kids. I went there for five years but somehow didn't even know it existed! Great place to entertain kids.

We had some good Mexican at Los Hermonos with Tiffany and her family too, which was fun minus a kamakazi bee sting but all was well.

Cascade Springs was one of my favorite places to go while I lived down there so we had to go visit.

The Children's Museum was a hit with most the cousins and we were able to visit with another friend, Felicity, who we haven't seen since V's birth, and her two boys!

Lastly we hit the zoo. My favorite was the five day old giraffe. I could have stayed and watched him all day, he was so adorable though I don't think I would like a 6 foot baby!!!

V loved riding the train with his cousins and kept shouting "Go choo-choo!"

It was the first time in years that all five of Penny's kids, kid's spouses and grandchildren were in the same place. It was fun seeing everybody in the same place and seeing how much fun all the cousins have together. V quickly warms up to them and just thinks they are they most fun playmates.
Unfortunately we had to cut our trip short which is why we weren't able to see everyone we wanted to, so if we missed you we are sorry but we will get you next time. The reason we had to rush back was because of that addition I mentioned before, no it wasn't a baby, but it is a....

HOUSE!!!! That's right we are now homeowners. We are still settling in, but V has adjusted well and loves to be at the "nu hos." We still have a lot to do, like sod and a fence, but we know we will get there. Did you notice my red front door? Love it!
Our last hurrah of summer was a quick trip down to Sunriver, OR. We didn't have much time but managed to take some nice nature walks, hit the playground of course and also spend sometime with my oldest sister Lin's family, who was also staying down there.

Phew, I think that about does it. All caught up! Hope you had a great summer too!
