One last summer update. J's dad and stepmom are building a cabin up in Alaska. J got to go up and visit with them as well as experience some of Alaskan life. He helped work on their cabin, which I am pretty excited to go visit once it's done. 
They went fishing a few times. J caught a 31 pound halibut, probably the last time he will catch a fish that weighs more than our child, haha!
More than any other wildlife, they saw a ton of moose. V would have loved it, although he probably would have wanted them to dance.
He had a lot of fun watching and listening to the glaciers calve.
