My Great-Aunt Annie is visiting from Utah. She is my Grandfather's sister, the same one which V is named after. All during my childhood she was like another grandmother to me. We used to go to her house for a visit, she made the BEST fudge. And although she has happily shared the recipe somehow it's never quite as good. She is the oldest of the five VV children and her and Grandpa are two of the three that are still living. It was so great to be able to see her today. We had a long leisurely lunch with lots of great conversation.
V was happy to show off his new straw slurrping skills and...
offer to share his pizza with Great-Aunt Annie. She declined politely, haha.
Aren't the just the cutest brother and sister? Makes me think about working on a sister for V, just not quite yet haha.
I just have to add that the best quote of the day was when I asked how everyone liked riding in mom's new Odyssey. Aunt Annie replied "Oh it is such a nice car, if I was four years younger would go out and buy me one." What really makes it funny is that she said 4, not 40, not 14, just 4. This would leave her still well into her 80's, haha! Now that is the kind of outlook I want to have when I am old.

We just bought an Odyssey and love it. Her comment reminds me of my great aunt who said she felt like 100 at her 99th birthday party, as she was mourning the recent loss of a nephew.
