PLAYING CATCH UP

Sorry for the lack of blogging this past month or so, just pure laziness on my side. We have been hanging out as usual. Although there has been a new development which keeps me a bit busier. I started a part-time job with a local non-profit that focus on anti-drug and anti-gang education. So far things are going well and the schedule is flexible enough that we still get to do the fun things like playing with Great-grandpa VV; those two get the biggest kick out of each other. And finally the weather has become warm, in fact we had a few days reaching high 80's! So the backyard has provided some fun times, although it is a constant struggle to keep the sunhat on. We are enjoying the last few weeks of Toddler Gym before the summer break. V will miss all his little friends he has made and fun things he gets to do like parachute time. (Excuse my weird expression I was in the middle of singing the song!)
V continues to be the cutest little snugglebug, particularly after nap time.
But once he gets his snuggles in he is all ready for fun again, and he likes to continue the tradition of dancing in the kitchen with Grandma.

A few weekends ago my aunt and uncle were staying for a short vacation on the coast and we went out to visit for the day. It was too windy and brisk to play in the ocean but that didn't stop us from having fun. V loved swinging on the big swings with daddy.
And thought flying through the air was pretty cool too.
Finally as the weather is nice we got to break out the Kelty and give it a test run. We just walked around the wildlife refuge near home, but V got a kick out of his new view seat.

Tomorrow after a Memorial Day service at church we are going to put the backpack to a real test on a hike to Lena Lake, I will be sure to post the pictures more quickly this time.

Yes, I remember you! You have an adorable family! It was fun to see pictures of your mom and dad being grandparents. Isn't it fun to watch?
