WE MAY BE BIASED BUT...

Honestly isn't he just such a handsome little guy? And if you can't tell from the shirt we have no qualms telling him so everyday, haha. We may have to cut that back when he gets older and understands more or we could have a large ego on our hands. Can you believe he is already 5 months old? Time really does fly. And he is getting so much more skilled everyday. He rolls around the living room floor like a pro. We are still trying to get that on video but once he spots the camcorder he just stops and stares at it which isn't very cooperative. Hopefully soon we can sneak up on him and get his rolling adventures on video to share. While J was out getting a ride in before the suprisingly mild weather for this time of year decides to bail on us, V, my parents and I went for a little hike/walk to the private beach in the new development where my dad works. Though he is in the Bjorn in the pic below because we had to walk down stairs to get to the actual beach, he spent most the time in his stroller and just sat back and enjoyed the stroll. It was the longest he has spent in the stroller and we were pleasantly surprised that he stayed amicable for all but the last 10 minutes because it was getting close to nap time.

And no you aren't seeing things in the picture above or below, my hair is that short. It's suppossed to be a la Katie Holmes. It's the shortest I have had it in a long time and only the second time I have had to get my neck shaved for a haircut! I was hoping that it would make it more difficult for V to pull on but he adapted fast and just reaches higher, unfortunately poking me in the eye more than once when he is tired and reaching, ouch!

Anyway, J and I went on a date last night. It was really fun and though with out the baby not totally baby-free as we visited a really cool toy store downtown to look for some Christmas presents for V. It was so awesome we will have to go back as we were short on time to get to the show. We saw Warren Miller's new movie "Playground." Not my favorite of his movies, but still really really good. We both highly recommend it. It even highlights BYU's water weinie club, haha! There were a few times J turned and asked, "Would you be mad if I tried that?" More often than not the answer was "YES!!! Absolutely." Although I have to admit speed skiing in the Alps looked very cool despite the dangers.

We didn't do anything special to mark his 5 months, however he did get to sit in his Kelty backpack for the first time. At first he was a little hesitant about it, but quickly he warmed up and enjoyed the view from up there. Now if the weather can just stay nice for a bit longer we can actually take it out for a test run.
