SAN DIEGO: FINAL DAY OF FUN

Our final and best day in San Diego was spent at Sea World. Neither J or I had been to a Sea World for years and the kids (Shelly too!) kept telling how it was going to be so great. They were right. We got there right at opening and hopped on the little kid rides.

The best quote of the day came from Kaylee on the Elmo Fish ride (though her's was an Elmo pig actually), "I'm up heeeeeeeeeere!" as she would go around and we would call for her to get a photo.
V really enjoyed his Elmo clown with Daddy too.
Our first animal sighting was one of my favorites, the Belugas. They are so pretty. But just because we were at an aquatic themed park didn't mean the kids ignored other creatures. Meghan and Bradlee were happy to study the ants with V. I told you they are great cousins.
Ahhh, cute.
I am not personally scared of sharks, at least not to the level of jellyfish but that's a whole other post. However the shark exhibit was a bit scary but only because it was so dark we hit our heads! But JAWS! was pretty cool.
The Shamu Believe show was great. It made me wish I had followed one of my childhood ambitions and become a marine biologist, I can't remember if that was before or after astronaut, doctor and teacher, haha.

Aren't we a cute and soggy bunch? Not sure how much of that is sweat and how much was getting wet at the shows, in fact, I'm not sure I want to know.
V got his first pair of Mickey ears too! The cousins spent the days before we met them in SD at Disneyland and they pick him up a pair of ears also, wasn't that sweet. He loves them. He will see them sitting around the house, point and then start tapping his head for the sign of "hat."

Overall we had a fabulous if too short time in San Diego and with family. We hope we can vacation with them again soon. However we aren't done yet, I saved the best for last. V absolutely LOVED the aquariums at SeaWorld. He would have stood there all day looking at all the different animals. He loved them so much he even showed off his dance moves. If you listen closely you might even hear him say something that strongly resembles 'fishie'!

Hey! Remember me? Marine Biologist? Dreams can come true ladies! The mommy dream is taking precedence right now however.
I LOVE Sea World!!!!!
I totally heard fishy from Van! Fish was Lily's first word. Is it Van's too? I love V's moves, maybe after this trip he will aspire to be a Marine Biologist and you can live vicariously through him. :)

P.S. Did I mention I HEART Sea World!!!!!
