I keep thinking "you can't be serious!" but alas it is true, our little man is officially a toddler! He is the big 1 year old today! Not really sure he understood why mama and dada were singing to him as soon as he got up this morning but he knew something good was happening when he got to flip around and face forward in the carseat! And just as expected he loved being able to see us and talk to us easier in the front, not to mention look out the windshield.

We started the celebration by heading out to a yummy breakfast where of course all the waitress proceeded to fall in love with him. He didn't keep the hat I made especially for him on very long but he looked handsome while he did.

Our highly anticipated plans to go to the zoo were squashed by cold drizzley weather so we opted to go to the Hands On Children's Museum instead. V loved is so much we are considering getting a family pass. His favorite and funniest pick was a little broom he picked up and carried with him everywhere! We could not get him to let go of it, he just played with everything else with his free hand.

Finally though after a few minutes of one hand on the trains, one holding the broom he figured out he could climb onto the train table and it was goodbye broom, hello trains!

Of course we couldn't go home with out stopping at a new playground. V had so much fun crawling through all the tunnels and even went down the big tunnel slide by himself! He really is growing up.
Overall we had great first birthday fun, still can't believe a year has gone by, but eternally grateful to have V as our son.

I remember being excited about my kids being able to face forward in their car seats! They seemed to like it better too. T-Your hair looks so cute!
