WE ARE STILL HERE!

Hello, so sorry we have been absent for such a long time. We had computer drama, namely it decided to die on us! Completely gone, wouldn't turn on or anything. This wouldn't have been so traumatic if it hadn't taken ALL of our pictures, resumes, and J's school writings with it. Yikes! But thankfully after a few weeks spent with the computer geeks (gotta love the computer geeks) at the repair shop we are back up and running. And although all the files and such aren't back in place, they were recovered thankfully so we again have record of our life together and most importanty pics of V who is really the reason most of you check in anyway, haha! Speaking of the little guy, we really can't call him little anymore. He is now 9 months old as of yesterday and measures in at 30 inches, that's right 30!!!! He is super tall, and weighs a whopping 22 lbs 3oz! He is a long lean cruising machine. He is standing and walking holding on with only one hand and is brave enough to let go but has yet to truly walk, won't be long though. He is healthy happy and for the most part sleeping in his crib. I know I said I would never do it but sleep deprivation drives you to extremes, so a few weeks ago we let him cry. I will admit it wasn't as bad as I thought though still heartbreaking but it worked pretty fast and getting more than an hour of sleep at a time at night is nice. He now goes to bed quickly and only wakes for his bottle and spends the rest of the time in blissful sleep in his bed, yay! Naps are still a struggle he just doesn't feel the need to sleep more than 45-50 mins but hey, he is getting much more sleep than he used to at night so for now I am not going to fret about it. He is so active that most activities are a wrestling match and the adults don't always win, haha! He is constant motion so sometimes getting the spoon in his mouth before he turns his head or flaps his arms is a challange, but he doesn't seem to notice whether the food makes it into his mouth or just onto his face!

Often we get razberries blown at us for good effort, haha! It's even cuter with sweet potatoes all over his face.

His hair is growing so fast he is getting close to needing another haircut. But last Sunday J decided to share some of his hair gel and he was quite the stylin' little dude at church and it lasted all day. V is also getting his two top teeth. I am still torn about this, I have gotton so used to and love his little two teeth smile. I am going to need to adjust to another smile soon but I am sure I will love it just as much. To help with the discomfort we made some popcicles and he grabbed it like he had been eating them all his life. Sticky but yummy.I know for most of you finding someone with your own name isn't that big of a deal, but I didn't meet someone with my own name until I was 15! So the other day we were hanging out downtown and stopped for some yummy subs and there was a guy in there with the same name! Being the nerd that I am I had to take a picture. He was really nice and despite V's expression in the photo he really liked big V, they were playing peek-a-boo and big V was making him laugh all through dinner.

So that is all that has been up with us. Sorry nothing more exciting but thanks to those who sent out the search party, I am glad to be back and can't wait to catch up with everyone else's happenings as well.
