1 MONTH CHECK-UP

Yipee! Today V had his one month check-up, although technically he is 5 weeks old, but still it was great. The doctor says he is doing just fine, and minus a little pee-ing mishap while getting weighed he was a perfect gentleman.I don't know if we will be able to call him "little one" much longer, he is growing like a wild child. He is already 10 lbs 10 oz which is in the 60th percentile and 23 1/2 inches which is in the 90th percentile! So not only is he getting tall, he is already heavier than any bowling ball I would use!

He is also becoming more alert each day. He SMILES! And follows your voice and reacts to what you are saying, it's great to just hang out and talk with him when he is in a good mood.

Unfortunately sometimes he is in a bad mood, like when his bath took longer than he would have liked the other night. He started off great and was so close to being done but didn't quite make it. He screamed the whole time he was getting dried off and dressed.

But as soon as he was dry, snuggled and getting his hair brushed he was much happier, haha! Amazing what a different another 60 seconds can bring, and you all thought I had mood swings!

Another day and a different meltdown the only thing that could make him happy was to be in his swing. Not too surprising for those of you that have kids and have attested to the saving grace of the swing. However he was so upset I couldn't even get him dressed so he was just in his swing with nothing but his diaper and a blanket but content as can be. Silly guy.

Sadly we had some fun things happen this week that I was not on the ball in getting pics of. Our friend came to visit from DC-area with her little boy that is only a few weeks older than V. And she knitted V the cutest winter hat. It's still a little big but I will try and remember to get a picture. Unfortunately both babies were oblivious to their first meeting, but us moms had fun seeing each other again. And then V also went to his first dinner out, well at least over at a friends. It was nice to get out of the house for a dinner and great to hang out with some friends too. That's all for this week, and the little guy is getting hungry so gotta run!
