WHERE ARE WE?

I know that is a question some of you have been asking and right now we are asking that ourselves. Just the general business of life has kept me from posting lately, and contrary to blogger theory my absence has not been due to pregnancy. Let me repeat, I am NOT pregnant. I am however snowed in. Ok, well not exactly snowed in, but close to. We have been getting dumped on for about five days now. Our works closed, church was cancelled; the whole shebang. It has left us wondering what state we are in as this in not the usual Northwest weather. Even more it has left us wondering where are the snow plows?!? It wouldn't be such a bad situation if there were some snowplows making the rounds but I have yet to see even one! However, even I will admit the snow has been a blessing in disguise, due to work being cancelled we have been able to cross quite a few things off our to do list around the house. And V has been pretty agreeable to staying in doors most the day. One of his new favorite things is to put all his puzzle pieces on the windowsill, for some reason I find this incredibily amusing everytime he does it, maybe it's the accompaning noises for each truck/train when he places them.

We have also been spending even more time reading books, and if there is a picture of a train, truck, bus or fire engine to be found he will find it. (More on how trains, particularly a little blue one named Thomas, seems to be taking over my life on a later post, haha.)

Despite my natural instincts to stay inside warm and dry, I couldn't deny V his first real experience playing in the snow. So after a prolonged wrestling match wherein I tried to get his snowsuit, boots and gloves on him we finally made it outside. Of course he dived right in and was thrilled to finally be able to play in all the crazy white stuff.

Grandma came over too and quickly showed V that is was much easier to run down the hard packed snow on the road then the knee-high snow on the sidewalk.

Turns out the swing is just as much fun in the snow.

Dada helped to throw some snowballs, which was probably the highlight of the outting.
Although being pulled on the sled was a hit too. I think if me and my mom hadn't gotten so tired of pulling he would have stayed on there all day.

I will try to be better at posting now that we are slowing down a bit. And I am still hopeful that I will get Christmas cards out this year. However, if I don't please know that we wish you all a Merry Christmas and a happy holiday season.

Hey,
Crazy weather! We have received a lot of snow too. I have also been wondering where the snowplows are. I think they have one for the entire tri-cities. I agree, at least in Utah, they get out and plow and salt! I have been slipping and sliding all over the streets this week in my car because the snow has gotten packed on to the roads and has now turned to ice. Temperatures haven't reached above freezing here in over a week.

Stay warm and cozy! Hope you have a Merry Christmas!

Your post hits home! We've had tons of snow, too, but I'm not being as good of a sport as you. I'm tired of it. Ugh, is it Spring yet? Ha!

Awesome pics girl! That little V just gets cuter and cuter and cuter! I loved the first one of V in the snow and then the one of he and Jared in the snow, throwing snow balls! Good stuff!
